Over the past 25 years W.R.P.F. has been responsible for numerous Restoration and Preservation projects. The major projects have been restoring the Caretaker Cottage and Caddy Shack; reconstructing the Barn; publishing the book Walk a Crooked Trail; A Centennial History of Wawashkamo Golf Club; conducting a historical survey of the battlefield and burial grounds on the golf course, publishing the results of the survey; the building of an informational viewing area of the battlefield; major restoration of the Clubhouse, including the foundation, roof, and chimney; the construction of two handicapped bathrooms and the construction of a viewing deck of the Battlefield on the back of the Clubhouse.
During the winter of 2007-2008 we have continued to work on painting the interior of the Clubhouse. Thank you Lou Bunker. Lou has donated his time to the project. The steps and porch on the Caretaker's house have been re-worked and replaced. Wood on the exterior of the Caretaker's house has been replaced and painted. Doors and screens on the back of the Clubhouse will be replaced. Kay Berke is working on making slipcovers for the Clubhouse living room furniture. Nancy Keogh is working on having picture frames constructed for photographs of the past presidents of the Club.
